CONFINED SPACE AWARENESS TRAINING

Course Introduction

Confined spaces present serious risks such as limited entry/exit, hazardous atmospheres, and restricted movement. This course equips participants with essential awareness on hazard identification, safe entry procedures, legal compliance, and emergency response in line with industry best practices and DOSH/OSHA requirements.

Objectives

  • Understand definitions and characteristics of confined spaces
  • Identify common hazards (atmospheric, physical, mechanical, biological)
  • Recognize regulatory requirements (OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, ICOP 2010)
  • Understand roles & responsibilities (entrant, attendant, supervisor)
  • Apply safety controls: ventilation, gas detection, PPE, signage & emergency response
