CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION, MAINTENANCE & TROUBLESHOOTING OF ELECTRICAL MOTORS

Course Introduction

Electric motors are the backbone of industries and complexes, powering machinery and operations around the clock. As motors consume nearly 60% of industrial electricity, proper operation, testing, and maintenance are essential to ensure efficiency and prevent costly breakdowns. This program provides participants with in-depth knowledge of motor principles, operation, and hands-on troubleshooting skills to improve reliability and energy conservation.

Objectives

  • Understand the principles, operation, and classifications of AC and DC motors.
  • Perform inspection, maintenance, and testing of electric motors.
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime.
  • Select and configure appropriate motor starters and overload relays.
  • Implement energy-saving practices, including VFD/VSD applications.
  • Identify common faults, symptoms, and remedial actions.
